Tucker’s face tightened.
“Lauren, please.”
I turned toward his grandfather.
“Tucker has been involved with another woman for eleven months. He told her we were already divorced, and she’s six months pregnant with his child.”
The table went silent.
Several relatives stared at Tucker.
He looked furious.
“Did you really have to say that here?”
I continued.
“He also spent more than eleven thousand dollars from our shared accounts on expenses he never told me about.”
Ruth looked shocked.
“Is that true?”
Tucker didn’t answer.
Diane leaned forward.
“We don’t need to discuss every private detail.”
I turned toward her.
“Then why did Tucker decide to give everyone a version that leaves out what actually happened?”
Ruth looked at Diane.
“Did you know about this?”
Diane’s expression changed.
She glanced at Tucker, then lowered her eyes.
“I’ve known since Christmas.”
A murmur went around the table.
