‘Breaking Bad’ Star RJ Mitte Dies at 34, Leaving Behind a Powerful Legacy of Disability Advocacy

Mitte continued acting after *Breaking Bad* as well.

His television credits included appearances in *Switched at Birth* and *The Guardians of Justice*, while his film work included projects such as *Triumph* and *Standing Up for Sunny*.

At the time of his death, Mitte had also been promoting the film *Talking to Strangers* and reportedly had additional projects in development.

Just eight days before his death, he made what would become his final public appearance alongside former *Breaking Bad* co-star Luis Moncada at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta on October 4.

Mitte was also engaged to Kennedy Suarez.

His death has been felt deeply among his former colleagues.

Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, and other members of the *Breaking Bad* family shared tributes following the news, remembering the actor they had watched grow from a teenager into a respected performer and advocate.

While millions will always recognize Mitte as Walter White Jr., his legacy reaches considerably further than one television role.
