That uncertainty also gave viewers plenty of room to come up with theories of their own. On Facebook, one netizen joked, “Tom was explaining the laws and customs on his home planet Zoltar.”
Another user focused on Cruise’s movements during the game, writing, “did you notice that Tom left like after the fist quarter and some other person was sitting next to it?? I did [sic]!!” A commenter offered another theory, writing, “Trying to get her into Scientology.”
The speculation continued under a separate Facebook post. Someone else joked, “He said come join Scientology and you can have a spot on the spaceship with me!”
