Ingredients
¼ teaspoon fresh papaya seeds
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1½ tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon honey
Pinch of salt
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Scoop the seeds from a ripe papaya.
Rinse them thoroughly to remove the slippery fruit pulp.
Measure only about ¼ teaspoon of seeds.
Crush them gently with the back of a spoon or a mortar and pestle.
Add the crushed seeds to a small jar.
Pour in the olive oil, lime juice, mustard, honey, and salt.
Close the jar tightly and shake until combined.
Taste the dressing.
If the peppery flavor is too strong, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
Use it over green salad, cucumber salad, grilled vegetables, or a papaya-avocado salad.
Papaya and Weight Management
Papaya does not directly burn belly fat.
No fruit can choose where your body loses fat.
However, papaya can be a useful food when someone is trying to build lighter, more satisfying meals.
