I raised my hand.
I almost apologized.
“Excuse me?”
He stopped.
His name tag read Curtis.
“Can I help?”
“Is there another seat available?”
“Excuse me?”
Curtis glanced around.
“I’m afraid we’re full, ma’am.”
Lucas jumped in.
“She’s upset because it’s hot.”
“No,” I said. “I’m upset because he keeps pressing against me after I’ve asked him to stop.”
“I’m afraid we’re full, ma’am.”
Curtis turned to Lucas.
“Sir, please respect her space.”
Lucas straightened.
“Is this going to be written down or something?”
Curtis turned to Lucas.
“Not unless there’s another problem,” Curtis replied.
“Absolutely. No problem,” Lucas said quickly.
He smiled.
“I didn’t realize it bothered her.”
He smiled.
“I’ve asked you several times,” I said.
Curtis nodded.
“Let me know if it happens again.”
“Thank you,” I said.
He continued down the aisle.
