Imagine that you are ten thousand meters high, you have just fastened your belt, the ship stabilizes and you finally relax in your seat waiting for a quiet trip. The buzzing of the engines lulls you, some passengers already close their eyes and the flight attendants begin to organize the cart of the drinks. Everything goes according to the libretto. It’s the classic stage of a commercial flight where all you expect is to get there on time, stretch your legs and pick up your luggage. Nothing in the other world, right? Well, the protagonists of this story thought exactly the same until the destination decided to change the plans completely in the middle of the journey.
What began as a routine transfer became, from one second to another, an experience that none of those present will be able to forget in their life. There were no serious mechanical failures or extreme turbulence from those that stir your stomach, but the atmosphere in the cabin radically transformed. In those moments, when you’re locked in a giant metal tube floating in the air, any unforeseen event is magnified. Uncertainty began to float in the aisle and bewilderment eyes among the passengers soon appeared. No one understood very well what was going on, but it was evident that normalcy had vanished through the window.w
